Hello, I'm Lewis and this is DIY Machines.  It's mainly a Youtube channel where I can design and share 3D printable DIY projects.

A man with a light complexion and a shaved head, smiling directly at the camera against a plain, neutral background.

How it started

I love making things and I'm sure you do just as much. It's just sometimes we need a bit of inspiration to pull our sleeves up and create something - this is what I hope to help others with.

It doesn't matter whether what you build is exactly what I shared with you or your own version of it. What matters is that we might be able to give a new (or existing) maker the confidence they need to kickstart their next invention.

You can help support me by becoming a Patron of DIY Machines.

What I'm using...

An open can of orange paint with a brush resting across the top, showing orange-tipped bristles on a silver handle.
Sometimes I'm asked about what 3D printer, Camera or Microphone I'm using. Here is a list of some of the equipment I'm lucky enough to use whilst creating the projects.
A Prusa i3 MK3S+ 3D printer with its signature black frame and orange accents on a white background.

Prusa i3 Mk3s

Except for my first printer (a Buccaneer) I've always used Prusa Printers. I currently print on a Mk3s (which has clocked up over 3,728 hours printing time!) and Mk4 Find out more here .

Sony SLR & Røde Microphone

I use a Sony A7III and Røde VideoMic (Thank you to my patrons who helped me afford the microphone when my lavalier broke!)
